Well over 100 OE-A members met in Munich, Germany to discuss latest developments in the organic and printed electronics industry

During the 12th Annual General Assembly and 37th OE-A Working Group Meeting on April 04, members joined the company tour to adphos and a networking dinner.

In the run-up to LOPEC 2016, well over 100 OE-A members and guests gathered in Munich, Germany at the 12th Annual General Assembly and 37th OE-A Working Group Meeting on Monday, April 04. The special topic this time was “Applications & Technologies: OE-A Roadmap for Organic and Printed Electronics

During the co-located assemblies of the various Working Groups, interactive discussions and the exchange of ideas took place. As a highlight, the OE-A Demonstrator Working Group had the exciting but difficult task to evaluate the submissions of the OE-A Competition 2016 participants. The winners were announced during the LOPEC 2016 Dinner & Award Show

The OE-A furthermore provided updates and an outlook for 2016, as well as discussed the focus points for the upcoming period.

Start of new OE-A Roadmap cycle
The new OE-A Roadmap cycle officially started during this meeting. The OE-A Roadmap 2017 will continue to provide the entire value chain an outlook on the organic and printed electronics developments and prospects.

The key themes of the 7th Edition are grouped into the following teams:

•    OLED Lighting
•    Organic Photovoltaics
•    Flexible and OLED Displays
•    Electronics & Components
•    Integrated Smart Systems

•    Functional Materials
•    Substrates
•    Printing & Patterning Techniques

The OE-A Roadmap will furthermore include recommendations for end-users looking for specific technologies and applications for their respective industry.

Company tour and networking dinner
In the late afternoon, the OE-A members took part in a company tour at adphos Digital Printing GmbH. adphos Group is a family of privately owned companies focused on the development of the widely patented adphosNIR®- systems technology, which allows compact optimum drying, curing and sintering solutions for almost all thermal liquid and solid coatings. adphos provides an optimum drying solution with high added value output for customers.

In the evening, the OE-A networking dinner at a German brewery provided another occasion for the participants to further strengthen ties with fellow members, make new connections, as well as discus business opportunities.

Creating the right partnerships is essential, both between different companies as well as between companies and research institutes. With regular Working Group Meetings in Europe, Asia and the US, OE-A supports its members with an effective networking and communication platform, fostering collaboration and promoting information exchange among all players along the value chain.
