"Aligning Technology with Market Opportunities", OE-A members gathered to discuss the commercialization of organic and printed electronics.
OE-A member NovaCentrix hosted the 24th North American Working Group meeting in Austin, TX. on May 18-19, 2016 where 17 attendees from the U.S. and Europe discussed “Aligning Technology with Market Opportunities”.
Case studies in commercializing materials, formulations, and equipment sharing NovaCentrix’ experiences were presented. Also, what has been learned – or not learned – about key indicators for commercialization success were examined by reviewing those experiences for lessons learned. Finally, the group interactively identified key enabling technology trends for printed electronics by reviewing application interest for printed electronics.
Highlights of the meeting included an engaging talk on “Commercializing an Emerging Technology in an Emerging Market – How Hard Can It Be?” by Dr. Kurt Schroder, CTO at NovaCentrix, as well as an invited guest presentation by Sri Peruvemba, CEO of Marketer International, on „Marketing the Unknown“.
As always, attendees enjoyed plenty of opportunities for networking, especially the Texas-style networking dinner in downtown Austin.
Finally, attendees took a tour of the NovaCentrix facility in Austin, TX. Attendees were presented with an overview of NovaCentrix’ product portfolio and a look at its R&D and manufacturing capabilities for nanoparticle materials and photonic curing equipment.
