The OE-A organized a Regional OE-A Meet & Greet and was represented at Wearable Technologies, Intersolar North America and SEMICON West in San Francisco.
It was a busy week for the OE-A in San Francisco, CA., USA. In the second week of July, the OE-A organized and attended various events to represent the organic and printed electronics industry. These events served as a perfect platform for strengthening its international network as well as to share the numerous benefits of this innovative technology with a broad, international audience.
OE-A Meet & Greet North America
On July 13, twelve OE-A members and guests gathered for the San Francisco Regional OE-A Meet & Greet for some networking. Members had the opportunity to meet new faces while our guests had the chance to learn what the OE-A can do for the organic and printed electronics industry. As member testimonials confirm, the OE-A provides an excellent platform to make international business connections: "We've been OE-A members for about seven years now, and as the OE-A has grown, we have grown with it. We have had many opportunities to meet companies in Europe and Asia that we wouldn't have met otherwise," Dr. Vahid Akhavan, NovaCentrix commented.
Wearables Technologies USA Conference
On July 12-13 the OE-A, as partner of WT, exhibited and presented at the Wearables Technologies USA 2016 Conference in San Francisco, CA., USA. Dr. Edzer Huitema, CTO of OE-A member Polyera, gave a talk on behalf of the OE-A at the conference session "Next Level Innovations". Attendees at WT USA were excited to see what organic and printed electronics has to offer for the wearables space, providing a steady stream of visitors to the OE-A booth throughout the two-day event. The interactive wearable game t-shirt produced by OE-A members NovaCentrix and eurecat also attracted a lot of attention from interested participants.
Wearable Technologies is the pioneer and worldwide leading innovation and market development platform for technologies worn close to the body, on the body or even in the body. Since 2006 the platform, with over 1,000 attendees, exhibitors, speakers, and press, has successfully established an ecosystem of more than 30,000 companies comprising market leaders and highly innovative companies.
Intersolar North America and SEMICON West
Since two other large trade shows were co-located just across town, it was the perfect opportunity to stop by SEMICON West and Intersolar North America, where the OE-A co-sponsored a seminar with its sister association, VDMA-PV Equipment. OE-A member Coatema Coatings Machinery made a presentation on the show floor.
Intersolar North America took place from July 12-14 and is the world’s leading exhibition series for the solar industry and its partners. It unites people and companies from around the world with the aim of increasing the share of solar power in our energy supply. This year the event drew a record crowd of more than 18,000 from over 80 countries. More than 550 companies exhibited and the conference featured more than 260 speakers during 39 sessions and 22 workshops.
