World Manufacturers Forum 2017 – Printed electronics: endurance, resistance, score!
On Wednesday, November 15 at 11:45-12:15h, Dr. Klaus Hecker (OE-A Managing Director) will give the keynote speech ‘Printed electronics: endurance, resistance, score!’ at the World Manufacturers Forum 2017.
Thin, lightweight, flexible and robust: Printed Electronics can be seamlessly integrated into a wide range of products. This technology enables a variety of new applications, in particular for the sporting goods industry: Flexible sensors integrated in textiles monitor heart rate, body temperature or humidity; Pressure sensors in soles or strain sensors in shirts help to optimize the course of movements in sports or rehabilitation; Integration of flexible lighting elements enhances safety while attached flexible solar cells and batteries provide power to smart objects; Flexible displays provide information or navigation and the integration of NFC tags connects sports clothing and gear to the Internet.
In this presentation, the OE-A will highlight results from the recently published “OE-A Roadmap for Organic and Printed Electronics”. An overview on status and prospects of a variety of printed electronics applications, technologies and materials will be presented.
The presentation takes place during productronica at the ICM – Messe München, Munich, Germany. More information about the World Manufacturers Forum.
