Who we are - Organic and Printed Electronics Association

The OE-A (Organic and Printed Electronics Association) was founded in December 2004 and is the leading international industry association for organic and printed electronics. The OE-A represents the entire value chain of this emerging industry. Our members are world-class global companies and institutions, ranging from R&D institutes, mechanical engineering companies and material suppliers to producers and end-users. More than 230 companies from Europe, Asia, North America, South America, Africa and Oceania are working together to promote the establishment of a competitive production infrastructure for organic and printed electronics. The vision of the OE-A is to build a bridge between science, technology and application. The OE-A is a working group within VDMA. More than 3,100 member companies from the engineering industry make VDMA the largest industry association in Europe.

OE-A Printed Electronics Film

The OE-A is a working group within the VDMA. The VDMA (Mechanical Engineering Industry Association) represents more than 3,100 mostly medium-sized companies in the capital goods industry, making it the largest industry association in Europe. VDMA is divided into 15 cross-sector departments, with branch offices in Berlin and Brussels, liaison offices in Brazil, China, India, Japan and Russia, 38 trade associations and working groups, international committees and forums, six state associations and numerous service organizations.

The OE-A is assigned to the VDMA association EMINT (Electronics, Micro and Nano Technologies), which includes also the associations Photovoltaic Equipment and Battery ProductionThese partner associations provide sector-specific expertise to their member companies, many of which are business partners to the organic and printed electronics industry. Our internal network also provides us with excellent contacts to the printing and paper and food and packaging as well as plastics equipment industries and the VDMA Photonics Forum.
